Chicago-Day One

Last weekend Jordan had a couple of days off of work so we decided to join some friends and check out Jordan's old stomping grounds of Chicago.

The Crew

First stop was this place. Portillo's is beyond delicious! It is Chicago Italian eats at it's finest! The Italian beef is messy, tasty and ridiculously good. You can never go wrong with the Chicago Dogs here and the chocolate shake cake is the best invention since sliced bread. Seriously!
Pretty cool that this is one of the only scoreboards that is not electronic...it's all done by hand like they have been doing for a hundred years.

Skyler getting love from his mama!

I wish we had gotten pictures after the game, but we went to this incredible little Italian restaurant after the game. Their specialty was homemade Gnocchi. Instead of potato they use ricotta cheese, which makes them really light and delicious. I think I could eat the truffle sauce and asparagus Gnocchi all day long.
Plus, as an added bonus, Jordan's friend Brandon Moon and his family met us for dessert. It was fun to catch up with them and their adorable family! It was a perfect day in Chi Town!
